The Arc of Chester County’s Home and Community Habilitation (life skills) program and Group Habilitation helps adults with disabilities learn the necessary skills to live more independently. These programs are available to those who wish to pay privately and to those with funding from the local counties’ Departments of Mental Health/Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities and/or the Office of Developmental Programs.

This flexible programs are tailored to meet individual needs. Specialized instruction by skilled trainers is offered in participants’ homes, or in the community. Life skills support is available individually, and in groups, and includes skills related to activities of daily living such as:

  • Daily Living
  • Socialization
  • Money Management
  • Fire & Community Safety
  • Accessing Community Resources

* Formal Medicaid term is Habilitation.
