Thanks to a grant from the Chester County Department of Community Development and the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, The Arc of Chester County offers funding and support to individuals with disabilities who are homeless.
This program provides housing subsidies to Chester County residents with disabilities who are homeless. Those currently homeless and living in a shelter or transitional housing have the opportunity to live independently in their own homes if they qualify for the Housing Options Program. In addition to rent subsidy provided by the Housing Options Program, qualified participants receive additional support from The Arc of Chester County or another participating agency. This support includes:
- Financial support to help cover any down payments or security deposits
- Therapy to address mental health or substance abuse difficulties
- Life skills support to live independently
- Employment support to generate income to maintain housing
- Transportation to work
