Safari & Teen Camp

The Arc of Chester County’s Camp Safari is a special place for children between age four to 11 to experience outdoor activities regardless of physical challenges. Teen Camp is open to teens age 12 to 18.

Both camps offer:
  • New experiences and fun with peers
  • Activities including fishing, canoeing, swimming, sports, crafts, and nature study
  • Respite for family members and caregivers

Camp Safari is a week-long summer day camp that operates from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. There are two sessions each summer. Each camper has a one-on-one teen volunteer supporter in addition to trained camp staff.

Camp Safari: June 17-21, 2013 and August 19-23, 2013 at Paradise Farms in Downingtown. 

 

Teen Camp: August 12-16, 2013 at Paradise Farms in Downingtown.

 

Parents of children receiving funding through the Chester County Department of Mental Health/Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities are encouraged to contact their case managers to discuss funding for Camp Safari and Teen Camp. Private pay options are available for children not receiving county or school funding.
